With over twenty years of consulting experience, Zac brings a wealth of expertise in engineering geology, hydrogeology, geomorphology, and the design and construction of many successful development projects throughout Northern California. He possesses extensive knowledge of the Central Valley region and its complex geologic history of soil erosion and deposition. Zac has played a focal role in the River Islands project, a 4,800-acre waterfront master-planned community located on Stewart Tract in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta in Lathrop, California. His contributions have been instrumental in the design and construction of over 13 miles of improved levees, a new bridge across the San Joaquin River, state-of-the-art public schools, numerous multi-use man-made lakes, and a new electricity distribution system to support the planned 15,000 new residential dwellings. Additionally, Zac has had the pleasure of serving many unique projects throughout the region, involving the interpretation of complex lithology, installation of groundwater monitoring well networks, analysis of groundwater levels and water quality data, value-engineering hundreds of miles of new roads, geologic hazard analyses, and designing cost-saving mitigation measures for treating potentially unstable soils, including highly expansive clay and liquefiable soil deposits.
