Simon is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (RPGeo) practicing in the field of Geotechnical and Engineering, with more than 25 years’ experience working for geotechnical consultancies, mining/exploration companies, and government agencies in the Australia – South Pacific Region. He has worked on several critical transport infrastructure projects in Queensland, including Brisbane’s Airportlink and Northern Busway tunnels, M1 & M3 Pacific Motorway Upgrades between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and Bruce Highway Upgrade Projects between Brisbane and Cairns. His specialities include site investigation and modelling, geotechnical logging, structural geology, geotechnical mapping and rock mass characterisation.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys most sporting activities, either as a spectator or as a token participant. He particularly likes bushwalking and going to the beach with his family and dog. At home, Simon also likes gardening and messing around with the guitar, (sometimes much to the annoyance of others).
